What you'll do:

The Senior Specialist – Construction and Engineering is responsible for managing contract resources and overseeing construction and digital electronics activities. This includes the installation, maintenance, and repair of Outside Plant (OSP) infrastructure and digital facilities. The role ensures that all work is performed in compliance with AT&T standards, contractual obligations, and applicable laws and regulations.

Key roles and responsibilities:

• Assigns projects to strategic vendors and tracks progress to ensure timely and accurate completion.
• Provides clear work instructions and writes detailed work orders.
• Acts as a liaison for construction-related inquiries from contractors, internal teams, and external stakeholders.
• Conducts quality inspections and ensures compliance with safety standards, grounding practices, and engineering specifications.
• Orders, inventories, and organizes materials, overseeing their proper use by vendors.
• Coordinates with local municipalities for permitting, inspections, and compliance with construction regulations.
• Manages invoice payments and change order processes.
• Reviews final documentation for accuracy, billing, and record updates.
• Participates in an on-call rotation to manage emergency situations, including dispatching technicians, coordinating vendor response, and reporting incidents.
• Provides customer support and addresses concerns related to construction activities.
• May supervise technicians during on-call duty rotations.
• Ensures environmental compliance related to construction activities, including handling of hazardous materials, fuel tanks, and water discharge systems.

What you'll need:

• Requires 3–5 years of network-related technical experience
• Manages contract resources responsible for construction or digital electronics activities such as the installation, turn-up and maintenance, building and repairing sub-structure, placing, splicing, rearrangement, and/or removal of Outside Plant (OSP) including digital facilities.
• High school diploma, GED
• Technical degree preferred
• Strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills.
• Ability to work with third-party vendors, customers, and government agencies.
• Must complete annual training as assigned by AT&T.

Environmental Requirements:

This position may be responsible for contributing to ATT compliance with environmental laws and regulations as applicable to its job function. This may include, but is not limited to, work related to fuel tanks, emergency and stand-by generators, boilers, hazardous waste, hazardous materials, batteries, manholes and vaults, water wells, linear and other construction projects, water discharge, or air emissions.

Our Sr Specialist Construction & Engineering, earns between $ 77,800.00 -$116,800.00 USD Annual Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
