Job Summary:

As a Deli Associate, you'll ensure that hot and cold deli foods meet our high standards. You'll promote exceptional customer service by efficiently fulfilling customer orders and maintaining an attractive presentation of products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist deli team with slicing, weighing, packaging, labeling, and preparing food under supervision.
• Prepare equipment for operation and check its working order.
• Adhere to quality control and food safety standards by stocking and rotating products.
• Sort and stack products according to company standards.
• Provide friendly, customer-focused service, greeting customers, answering questions, and taking orders.
• Encourage product sales through suggestive selling techniques.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary work and shopping environment.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
• Proficient in reading and operating digital equipment and scales.
• Safe operation of tools and equipment, including a meat slicer (must be 18+ years).
• Ability to communicate effectively and work well with others.
• Flexible schedule availability including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Attentive to safety hazards and proactive in reporting them.

Requirements:

• Minimum 16 years of age required.
• Food Handler certification is required.
• On-the-job training will be provided.

Physical Requirements:

• Must have good vision and be able to stand or walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift objects up to 40 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 75 lbs.
• Attendance at work is mandatory.

Work Environment:

• This position is primarily performed in a retail store setting.
• Exposure to extreme cold and heat conditions (non-weather related).
• Work areas may be wet or slippery.
