A company is looking for a Lead Human Centered Designer to provide design leadership in human-centered design and innovation initiatives for the Veterans Health Administration.Key ResponsibilitiesLead human-centered design projects from discovery through implementation, conducting qualitative research and field observationsManage a multi-disciplinary HCD team, ensuring alignment with VHA strategic goals and overseeing project deliverablesProvide design leadership and strategic guidance to senior VHA officials and stakeholders on human-centered design initiativesRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree (or equivalent) with 12+ years of experience, including 5+ years leading HCD projects in a federal healthcare environmentExperience conducting empathy-based contextual inquiry and qualitative research across multiple VA Medical Center sitesProven ability to deliver HCD artifacts such as Insight Reports and Journey Maps to senior stakeholdersFamiliarity with VA directives and federal government contracting environmentsMust be able to obtain and maintain a VA Public Trust (Tier 2) suitability clearance
