Maintenance Technician and Foundry Operator Responsibilities:Work safely and promote the safety of those working around you; help build a proactive safety culture. Identify and correct potential safety hazards in order to prevent injuries. Make the equipment available to the production workforce by:Determining the cause of equipment breakdown or failure and make necessary repairs. Analyzing drawings, manuals, wiring diagrams, etc. as required to install, repair, calibrate or otherwise service all types of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electronic devices and systems. Applying preventative methods and routine maintenance to reduce unplanned equipment downtime. Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions. Provide input into the preventive maintenance programs. Support management of spare parts inventories. Must be able to operate welding and heat torch equipment for foundry tooling repairs.
